![]() ![]() I don't know if its worth it anymore' This coudl almost suggest to us that he is on the run hence why he wants to forget his enemies. The third and fourth lines are 'Until the end of my life. When people say they are 'chasing the sunset' it means travelling west but here the starlight is in no particular direction, in is unclear and in every direction, and almost random. The next verse, the first line says 'Starlight, I will be chasing the starlight'. This phrase either means the people who care about him or the people who want him dead because friends want him alive and enemies want him dead so it is now unclear who he is trying to escape from, loved ones or enemies. It can suggest that he is trying to forget about 'the people who care if I live or die'. The next lines 'Far away from the memories, of the people who care if I live or die' This is a use of enjambment, a reoccurring literate technique used by Bellamy. The first verse starts with the simple lyrics 'Far away, this ship is taking me far away!' which is relatively self-explanatory as it explains about going away, or going somewhere and his use of 'far away' could suggest that he doesn't know exactly where he is going like the 'new world'. Many songs has mystical ideas about time and space and the modern and the beauty that Bellamy finds in the idea that our universe is infinite. This song is quite a happy tune and I am going to discover the meaning behind ' Starlight' another song building on another reoccurring theme that Bellamy prevails space and time. The album resistance is themed around rebellion and standing up for your beliefs and their next album is rumoured to have been recorded in space on virgin galactic and is to be released in September 2012. One of Bellamy's more famous songs, released in 2006 as part of the hit album ' Black Holes & Revelations' This album focuses more on the abstract side of Bellamy's creative side.
